Co-Founder

Sam Pierce spent most of his career in and around the investment world, with a specific focus in sustainable investment and corporate responsibility. He founded a software company in 2001 and sold it in 2017. Because spirits are more fun than software, he got together with his friend Dave McConnell to establish Three of Strong Spirits in 2018. Sam’s family was distilling rum in New England as early as the 1750s and his namesake Samuel Stillman Pierce founded the S.S. Pierce Company in 1831, selling a range of necessities, including rum.
